I felt such a relief in my lower back
I was suffering from sciatica and bulged disk pain caused by pregnancy for 4 years. I tried everything from GP-painkillers, physio massages, chiropractors- loads of money gone for very short-if any- results, however the pain always got back, stronger than before. I started getting used to the pain, but I was miserable and irritated every day. And the worst pain of them all? I wasn't able to carry my baby, to cuddle, to play with her funny games, run and jump... Every movement caused extreme pain. Then I saw an advert on postnatal classes at Zenith Fitness led by Lesley. Although I was very sceptical at first-telling myself it is "just" exercising, I couldn't be more wrong. I had nothing to lose, so I signed up for it.
Just after 5-6 classes with Lesley I felt such a relief in my lower back, I was waking up with less discomfort every morning, the sciatica pain has disappeared, I was able to put the shoes on without a pain and mainly, I can cuddle and carry my almost 20kg heavy daughter-something I would never think I will be able to do again... at that moment I realised I am living pain free life again and that was probably the best feeling ever. I have started the postnatal classes in November 2024, have been doing them ever since and I will do them as long as they will be available.
And Lesley is great for pushing you forward, showing you that you are capable of doing more than you believe.

From Daily Pain to Feeling Strong Again
After having my baby, I struggled with lower back pain, sciatica and discomfort caused by pregnancy for years. Simple things like bending down, putting on shoes, or carrying my daughter became painful, and after trying everything from physio and massages to painkillers and chiropractors, I had started to accept the pain as part of daily life.
I joined Zenith’s postnatal classes with Lesley in November 2024 after seeing an advert online. I was sceptical at first and unsure how exercise could help when so many other treatments hadn’t, but I had nothing to lose.
Within just a few weeks, I noticed a huge difference. I was waking up with less pain, my sciatica started disappearing and everyday movements became easier again. Most importantly, I could finally cuddle, carry and play with my daughter without constantly worrying about my back.
The classes are welcoming, supportive and adapted to all abilities, which made me feel comfortable from the start. Lesley has been brilliant at encouraging me and showing me I’m capable of more than I thought.
Joining Zenith has genuinely changed my life. I feel stronger, more confident and, for the first time in years, pain-free.
