Empowering You to Live Without Limits
Our mission is to get you back doing whatever it is that you want to do. It doesn’t matter if that’s being able to tie your shoes without pain or running up your nearest Munro. We will give you the tools to get you back to yourself and more.
Physiotherapy
During a Physiotherapy session a thorough history of your injury will be taken, followed by a physical assessment to identify the potential cause of your problem. If hands on treatment is required, this will be provided along with any rehabilitation. These sessions are designed to give you the tools to understand what’s going on and how best to help yourself get back to normal as quickly as possible.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is a form of deep tissue treatment designed to help reduce pain, soreness and improve function of the muscles and soft tissues. You don’t have to compete in sport to benefit from this type of treatment and your therapist will tailor pressure to the level best suited to you and your body. It can help even if you just come in once every so often to stay on top of recovery and doesn’t have to be something you do forever. However, most clients benefit from regular treatment, so they don’t have to spend as much time stretching and on that pesky foam roller!
Physiotherapy FAQs
Your physiotherapist will normally: take a subjective history of your injury; full medical history; complete a physical assessment; provide any hands-on treatment if required; provide rehabilitation exercises if required and discuss the timeline of your injury and recommend if you need any further treatment.
It depends. Sometimes you will require some soft tissue work like stretches and massage. Alternatively, you may need to perform some exercises and/or complete some rehabilitation exercises at home.
Not necessarily. Every case is unique and it will depend on your goals. Some clients only need to be seen once and are able to return to normal activities with small adjustments.
Yes! Depending on the trimester, we may have to adapt how we are assessing you but we can definitely still treat you.
Wear something comfortable that you can move with ease in. Shorts are only necessary for assessments of ankles and knees. Please avoid jeans or suits.

If you would like someone to come with you that’s not a problem.
Not at this moment in time.
It’s very unlikely. There are lots of options we can use to keep you training in your desired activity. This can include liasing with your coach or personal trainer to make your recovery quicker.
Your physiotherapist is able to write you a letter to help access a scan, if required.
Massage FAQs
It is up to you. Most massage is normally undertaken with the client in underwear but if you are more comfortable wearing a sports bra or shorts. We will adapt to what suits you.
You will be greeted by your therapist and asked if there is anything in particular you’d like to work on today or any niggles. The therapist will leave the room to allow you to undress and get onto the bed where you will be covered with towels and made comfortable. Following treatment your therapist will leave the room to allow you to dress and discuss any further treatment needs.
It is not a requirement.
It shouldn’t be agony and shouldn’t cause any bruising. There may be some tenderness following deep tissue massage but it should be bearable.
It’s up to you. If you’d like some quiet time just let your therapist know and they’ll follow your lead.
If you are feeling unwell or run down. If you have a rash or skin complaint that may be made worse with massage wax. If you have any unexplained swelling to your body. If you have any unexplained or new oedema. Uncontrolled blood pressure.
It depends which trimester you are in. We wouldn’t recommend massage during the first trimester and during second and third trimester we would likely treat you in a side lying position to avoid lying you on your front.
We’d normally recommend not exercising straight after massage but before is ok.
